LM> What's a 'cookie press' and how would a cookie press recipe differ

Ok...you know the bags they use for icing? Well, before, long ago in far
away time ;> they used to use a metal cylinder with a piston inside that you
pressed. They came in small for icing and large for cookies and worked
similar to the bags, but to me more easily controlled. So I have 2 of these
large cookie press cylinders with the different shape attachments. They
produce stars, flowers, hearts, etc. Anyhoo...this is the recipe for the
shortbread.

I believe it has to be a smooth fairly stiff dough. Perhaps I will just
experiment.
Thanx
